Course schedule

The entire course is made up of 3 sessions;
  • Beginner session: We will be teaching the fundamental principles of UI/UX design, with theories and practicals as well as projects to be completed by students.
  • Intermediate session: Here we will be exposing students to the experience of building an entire responsive application's interface.
  • Advanced session: We will be guiding each student in building a portfolio of at least 25 UI design concepts.

How our students take their classes

Classes are all video-based; tutors provide the students with their lessons in video format. Assignments are also given and reviews are done in the Telegram classrooms.

  • A laptop or desktop computer
  • Internet connection
  • Students will need to be on Telegram

Final assessment

Each student who completes the assignments from the intermediate and advanced sessions will be eligible to take the final exam, to ascertain how well-grounded they have become.
At the end of this process, students will take a final test for which 70% is the pass mark. Upon completion, certificates of excellence will be given to all who make it through the course

Beginners session
  • A brief look into the definition and relevance of UI and UX design.
  • UI design tools.
  • Figma's interface and prototyping fundamentals using Figma.
  • Introduction to Design patterns.
  • User Research and its methods.
  • Design briefs, moodboards, and grid systems.
  • Typography.
  • Wireframes.
  • Working with colors and images in UI.
  • Iconography.
  • Designing forms and tables.
  • Working with components in Figma.
  • Introduction to Responsive design.
  • Introduction to prototyping.

Intermediate session
  • In this session, we will be building a web mobile application.
  • Carrying out our user survey.
  • Competitor's analysis.
  • Conducting interviews.
  • Creating the design brief.
  • Creating the userflow.
  • Wireframing our applications UI.
  • Creating the moodboards.
  • Building out our color system.
  • Creating UI components.
  • Creating the high fidelity mockups for our desktop UI.
  • Prototyping our desktop UI mockups.
  • Creating the high fidelity mockups for our mobile UI.
  • Prototyping the mobile UI mockups.

Advanced session
This is a flexible but in-depth session where each student will be creating a set of 25 UI samples throughout the session. This is meant to help each student become clearly employable.
